After spending the last four seasons practicing and playing alongside what is arguably the best receiver in the NFL, J. Osborn joins the New England Patriots.
There’s still merit to their time together, even though it would be unfair to draw comparisons between Osborn and Justin Jefferson or anticipate that the 2020 fifth-round pick will perform similarly to the 2022 Offensive Player of the Year.
The newest wide receiver for the Patriots talked with media at a video conference on Wednesday. He described what it was like to watch Jefferson closely for four years.
Osborn said he and Jefferson, the No. 22 overall pick in 2020, trained for the NFL Scouting Combine together before being drafted by the Minnesota Vikings.
“We’ve kind of been able to do this journey together. So it’s been amazing. It’s been amazing just watching him work and seeing the God-given ability that he has on top of his work,” Osborn said.
