The Ravens’ most improved rushing attack this offseason comes from the addition of Derrick Henry.
According to John Kosko of Pro Football Focus, a number of well-known running backs found new homes during the first week of free agency, but no club enhanced its running game more than the Ravens with the addition of Derrick Henry.

Kosko selected the position groupings that have improved the most in free agency thus far, and he chose the Ravens at running back. Considering that the Ravens had the best rushing attack in the league the previous season, that says something.

King Henry has joined the AFC North, a team renowned for its aggressive, run-it-down-your-throat style of playmaking,” Kosko noted. “Defenses will now have to deal with Derrick Henry, one of the best bulldozers of the last ten years, and when he needs a blow, the electrifying Keaton Mitchell is there to back him up. If the Ravens weren’t already terrifying enough with Lamar Jackson threatening to run it at any moment, then this one.”

“In 2023, Henry managed to run successfully behind one of the weakest offensive lines in the NFL, only giving up 1.0 yards before contact on each rush attempt. 1.6 yards were gained by the Ravens prior to first contact. Henry now has a lot more inches to gain in the NFL, which is sometimes a game of inches.
