Following his surgery on Wednesday, New England Patriots cornerback Jonathan Jones left the facility with a message for the supporters.
“In and out as if it were a clock! “Ready to recover for the upcoming season,” Jones posted on Instagram.

Jones additionally shared a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed. Dakota Randall of NESN said that Jones’ surgery’s purpose remained a secret.

“Unclear what it was for, but he dealt with an ankle injury early in the season, and a knee injury over the final few weeks,” Randall wrote on X

Jones missed three games last season as he posted 48 tackles and seven pass deflections. He hasn’t played a full season since 2020 after one missed game in 2022 and 11 missed games in 2021.

Jones spent his first three seasons with the Patriots, winning two Super Bowls, after going undrafted in 2016. Throughout his career, he has racked up 378 tackles, 2.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries, 51 pass deflections, and 11 interceptions.

This season, Jones will begin the last year of a two-year, $19 million contract.
