On Sunday, LeBron James and Michael Jordan became part of NBA history.

That was an impressive total that was made even more impressive by the fact that LeBron is 39 years old.

According to Get Up, that means that James has now joined Michael Jordan as the only player with multiple 40-point games at age 39 or older.

James has already scored 40 points twice, whereas Jordan scored three after 39.

Jamal Crawford and Karl Malone, meanwhile, each did it once.

James, who is getting up to 40 years old, is still accomplishing incredible feats and breaking NBA records. This is just another amazing accomplishment.

He has tied Jordan twice before, but it appears highly likely that he will do so once more.

In fact, it wouldn’t be shocking to see him eclipse Jordan with this record at the rate he’s doing.

This season, James has averaged 25.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 8.1 assists per game.

In addition to scoring 40 points, he had several other notable plays during his Sunday performance.

In addition, he shot 9 out of 10 from beyond the three-point line and was scorching hot from downtown.

James put on yet another incredible performance, and the Lakers were able to secure a much-needed victory.

They now hold a solid ninth-place standing in the Western Conference, which increases the likelihood that they will participate in the Play-In Tournament later this month.

Before that competition starts, can James score forty more points?
