The Detroit Lions are getting ready for a busy Tuesday in Allen Park as they get ready to host a group of NFL Draft prospects for meetings and exercises. Quite a few of these prospects will be visiting with the team today. A list of the players who are anticipated to attend has been made partially public by Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.

The Lions typically host around two dozen prospects for these local day visits and/or workouts, providing an opportunity for the team to evaluate potential talent up close. These local visits are crucial for the Lions’ draft strategy, as they do not count against the team’s 30-player visit limit.

The Detroit Lions are doing their homework as the NFL Draft draws near, looking into every possibility to bolster their roster and create a competitive squad for the following campaign. An important part of that process is meeting with these prospects, which enables the Lions to evaluate each player’s fit and make judgments about their future.
