The Jamaican international made his League One debut for the Shrimpers in their inaugural season, putting on a number of standout displays. In the summer of 2022, he signed with the Tractor Boys from Morecambe.

His season began with a number of appearances from the bench, but due to a fractured leg, he was out for a significant amount of the season. Things did not go as planned during his tenure at Portman Road.

After moving to Oxford United last summer, the 29-year-old has experienced a return to his old ways, and has already made himself a fans’ favourite at the Kassam Stadium after a plethora of strong displays.

Leigh only made one League One start last season before suffering an injury that would keep him out for just under three months, so his tenure in Suffolk never really got off to a good start.

The defender first became aware of the problem in the closing moments of a September 2-2 draw with Sheffield Wednesday. He then made his league debut the first weekend of December in a 1-1 draw with Fleetwood Town.
