When the Buffalo Bills traded star wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans last week, the NFL community was taken aback.

Houston Texans' C.J. Stroud earns AFC Offensive Player of the Week

Thus, the query is: Which Diggs will the Texans be receiving? The guy who, during his four seasons in Buffalo, topped the NFL in catches and opened 2023 with five or six games with 100 receiving yards? Or the one who, as the season went on, appeared to be a shell of the person he once was?

The Texans won the AFC South and their first-ever playoff game after adding quarterback C.J. Stroud, edge rusher Will Anderson, and head coach DeMeco Ryans in the offseason. They moved this offseason to acquire wide receiver Stefon Diggs, running back Joe Mixon, and edge rusher Danielle Hunter in response to that success.

The most recent of those was the deal for Diggs, which put even more pressure on the defending division champions. Texans owner Cal McNair stated in an interview with Randy McIlvoy of KPRC that the team is at ease with the change in circumstances.
