Roger Rosengarten, a second-round selection of the Baltimore Ravens, is thrilled to play with MVP Lamar Jackson.

Roger Rosengarten, a rookie for the Baltimore Ravens, is ecstatic to have realized his long-held goal of playing in the NFL.

However, it seems like playing with the current MVP, Lamar Jackson, and being selected by the Ravens is the icing on the cake.

“As soon as I heard [it was] Baltimore, that’s the first thing that came to my mind – blocking for Lamar [Jackson],” Rosengarten stated. “[He is] a quarterback of the highest caliber, an MVP caliber quarterback. This is a real-life dream. It was such a wonderful experience to hear my name called and have every staff member call me to congratulate me. Baltimore is one of those areas where the program has been historic for a very long time.”

Jackson tied for ninth place in the league among all quarterbacks last season with 37 sacks. The Ravens would undoubtedly like to see that figure drop in the next campaign, and Rosengarten may be a part of their strategy to do so. Throughout his 1,100+ snaps as a collegiate player, Rosengarten never gave up a sack, and it appears he intends to keep it up in the NFL.

It won’t be simple, of course, because Jackson is a mobile quarterback who enjoys getting out of the pocket. Rosengarten, though, seems up to the task of guarding the league’s most important player.
