Terry Coates, a longtime fan of Birmingham City, wrote an open letter to Tom Wagner following his team’s relegation to League One. The direct letter, which was published in the Birmingham Mail’s letters section today, is sure to cause controversy. Regarding Terry’s remarks, where do you stand?

I have written the following letter to Birmingham City FC chairman Tom Wagner:

Every Blues fan is asking themselves these two things right now: how did this happen and what will happen next?

Here’s some background information because you might find these queries impolite coming from someone you don’t know.

I was born and raised on Cattell Road, a little distance from St Andrew’s. Seventy years ago, I watched the steeplejacks install the first set of floodlights while sitting on my front step. I am currently seventy-four, almost seventy-five years old. I’m a lifelong Bluenose through and through, of course.

How right my dad was when he warned me to “take them seriously and they’ll break your heart” when I requested for money to attend to the match. “Happy & Sad” as get more.
