How Celtic's current UEFA ranking compares to Champions League rivalsSee more https://sporthour.co.uk/index.php/2024/05/11/just-in-the-celt…hat-are-going-to/”Stay calm, support your players, support our process, and support yourself.” Rodgers, Brendan

All of the words that Brendan Rodgers said to the media this afternoon at Lennoxtown before the Rangers and Scottish Premiership game at Celtic Park tomorrow. The title might be secured by Celtic at Rugby Park on Wednesday night with only a point against Derek McInnes’ team, but a win would almost guarantee it.Brendan Rodgers:

“It’s a tremendous event, from the build-up to the intensity in the stadium to the whole atmosphere surrounding them. No matter the stadium—Celtic Park, Ibrox, Hampden—I have always loved watching these games; they are fantastic to be a part of.”To be honest, I go into every game knowing that people will look at the record, but the real goal is to go in there and forget about the past,” said Brendan Rodgers.

That isn’t reliable. It’s the planning, the team’s composure, and the laid-back yet intense build-up to the games. Naturally, you then have to provide a performance. And during the two times I’ve been here, the guys have played these games so, so wonderfully. I am eagerly anticipating this game. The pitch will be amazing with 60,000 spectators, and it’s our opportunity to play.

“I have not really thought about it. Going into every season and every competition, you always expect to have competitors and of course, (the)Rangers normally being the closest ones. But the focus primarily has been ourselves.

“However which way we started the season, however, we were in the middle, the focus has been on ourselves and getting to a level that I would expect us to be at. And arriving into the game we have had seven out of eight wins and the draw was still a very good performance, at Ibrox. So we arrive into the game in a good feeling and theRangers have been close a lot of the way through the season. But that’s what you want, you want competition, and that hopefully brings the best out of you.”
