The Scottish Sun reports Brighton is currently leading a “big-money chase” for O’Riley. It’s claimed the Premier League side are set to step away from their bargain-hunting transfer model with Celtic set to hold out for a record Scottish transfer fee – in excess of the £25 million paid for Kieran Tierney by Arsenal. West Ham and Everton are the other two top-flight English clubs said to be in the hunt to sign O’Riley from Celtic over the summer. It comes after O’Riley opened up about how he fell in love with Celtic after moving up north from MK Dons, saying it would be “very difficult” to leave the team.

When asked by Sky Sports how tough it would be to leave Celtic during the festivities of winning the championship, O’Riley replied, “That’s a tough question.”

“It would be really challenging. As I’ve mentioned before, I now value the club greatly.

“I kind of fell in love with the club from the first day on because of how devoted and fanatical the fans are—they’re just a proper fan base.
