Connor McDavid, age ten. He played brilliantly, looked quick, and there is a lot to discuss—especially with McD in overtime. During his first shift, he looked perfectly healthy and performed a spin move. Edmonton’s first scoring play of the series was started by his deft move, transferring the puck to himself off the back of the net and then placing it out front. He nearly scored in the third as he drove the puck all the way to the net. He was handed a well-earned four-minute minor penalty early in overtime, but Matt Duchene should have also received a penalty for holding or hooking McDavid, who then clipped Duchene while working free. When Ekholm got out, he lined him up for a 5-alarm backhand, then sent inHyman for a 2-on-1 wrister. He deked out Oettinger when Hyman set him up alone, but failed to beat the goalie. Then came his OT game winner, standing alone in front of the net to tap home Bouchard’s centering pass.
