Fans of TNT who are disappointed about the impending end of Inside the NBA might find comfort in the network’s equally silly sister show, Hockey Central.

One example would be the post-game presentation on Monday night after the Dallas Stars’ thrilling victory against the Edmonton Oilers in Game 3 of the NHL Western Conference Finals.

When asked about a player’s replica jersey he would be willing to purchase, retired NHL player and TNT co-host Paul Bissonnette suggested Igor Shesterkin, the goaltender for the New York Rangers.

‘TNT truly got the finest NBA & NHL talk shows, they simply let them have fun on camera and it’s so much better,’ said another X user, drawing comparisons between the NHL studio show and Inside the NBA.

Fans should be aware that this might not last for very long.

It was revealed last week that the NBA was finalising media agreements worth a combined $7.4 billion annually with ESPN, NBC, and Amazon.

TNT and their venerable programme “Inside the NBA” suffered a severe setback when negotiations with all three corporations reportedly reached the “final stage,” according to Sports Business Journal.

However, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver gave TNT a ray of light, suggesting that there might still be life in the programme.

‘We’re all still chatting,’ Commissioner Silver remarked outside of Thursday’s White House state dinner in Washington, D.C. Who knows how things will turn out?
