Lyle Lakay, a utility player for SuperSport United, says he’s at peace with how his time at Mamelodi Sundowns came to an end.
After being loaned out to Cape Town City and then left in limbo, the 32-year-old was an unexpected departure from Chloorkop. However, in August of last year, coach Gavin Hunt gave him a chance at crosstown rivals Matsatsantsa.

After 27 appearances, four goals and five assists in all competitions, Lakay believes joining SuperSport was the right decision.

“It didn’t end the way I wanted it to end, but that’s life, it happens everywhere. I’ve made peace with it, I’ve moved on and I’m at SuperSport now,” said Lakay. READ MORE
