According to The Athletic, Newcastle United are planning to spend a ‘significant’ chunk of their summer budget on a right winger and have been discussing targets in recent recruitment talks. As revealed by Chris Waugh, it’s believed four names have featured in discussions; Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise, West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen, Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams and Leeds United’s Crysencio Summerville. There will be other targets under consideration, I’m sure, but it’s clear the club are planning to bring in an upgrade on Miguel Almiron and Jacob Murphy after spending the last two transfer windows upgrading our left side following an £80m spend on Anthony Gordon and Harvey Barnes. Olise and Bowen are both Premier League proven and would add real quality to the side.

Olise and Bowen are both Premier League proven and would add real quality to the side. The Palace star is thought to have a release clause below £60m, but is a wanted man after interest from most of the ‘big six.’
