Given his age, Thompson has largely played for the Warriors throughout his NBA career, but he also understands that he likely has one more chance to earn a sizable salary. However, it’s stated that Thompson and his group would be motivated by factors other than money as they search for a possible new landing area.

However, there are many cap-space clubs that have a more obvious route to contention than the Warriors. The Oklahoma City Thunder, Philadelphia 76ers, and Orlando Magic are among them.

They might utilize a sizable portion of that to entice Thompson. During the 2023–24 NBA season, Thompson shot 43.2 percent from the field and 38.7 percent from outside the arc, averaging 17.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists.”
