We reported on Spanish reports three days ago, that Newcastle United had made a €41 million approach to buy Valencia custodian Giorgi Mamardashvili.

Marca added on Tuesday that the Magpies had made an offer for the 23-year-old following a conversation with his representative over the weekend.

The stopper reportedly needs to choose between joining Newcastle and joining a different team that may provide him with European football.
