With eight goals and one assist in 20 Premier League starts, the three-time England international had his greatest season to date and helped Forest escape relegation. Hudson-Odoi’s contract with Chelsea was only £3 million, which seems like a great deal given that big-budget teams are suddenly interested in signing him.

According to Sky Sports, three unidentified English premier league teams—one of which is eligible for the UEFA Champions League the following season—are interested in signing the 23-year-old this summer. As has been extensively reported elsewhere, Tottenham Hotspur is keen, with two other teams still in the running.

Villa are highly likely to be the unnamed Champions League team as Unai Emery wants to sign a versatile and speedy winger this summer. A move for Athletic Bilbao attacker Nico Williams is looking increasingly tricky due to the Spaniard’s wage demands, whereas Nicolo Zaniolo isn’t expected to be signed permanently from Galatasaray.

In the meanwhile, targets of a greater caliber than Hudson-Odoi will likely be the focus of Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool. The names of all three of the alleged big six in the Premier League have been linked to Pedro Neto of Wolverhampton Wanderers and Michael Olise, the star player of Crystal Palace.

Though he is still young, Hudson-Odoi is a versatile player who can play as an attacking midfielder or on either flank. The former Bayer Leverkusen loanee has made 101 Premier League appearances, mostly coming off the bench, and has contributed 12 goals and 12 assists. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €15 million (£12.8 million), although Forest is almost going to want a far greater price.
