There are far more than 100 players in the WNBA, many of whom have received numerous professional awards. We’re talking about titles, All-Star selections, the whole nine yards.

And there are Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark.

We asked for your favorite WNBA player this week in the Sun-Times sports polls on the social media platform X, located at “Polling Place.” Yes, we anticipated that some of you would choose Clark from the Fever and Reese from the Sky right away, despite the fact that neither well-known star is even close to topping the league’s current “best” list.Costabile: This isn’t a competition for popularity: Caitlin Clark is not yet deserving of a position on the Olympic team.

Since Caitlin Clark was left off the Olympic team, the discussion around her has been much more heated. This does not, however, alter the reality that she frequently plays with the Indiana Fever while carrying a target on her back. Though their most recent WNBA game against the Connecticut Sun may have been a depressing demolition job, that was not the main focus. Rather, it was a social media exchange between her and Dijonai Carrington that went triple platinum.
