Two guards who may be All-Stars for the Kentucky Wildcats will hear their names called in the lottery. This week, Kentucky may have four or five athletes chosen.
Only Reed Sheppard and Rob Dillingham are projected as top-30 prospects for first-round selections; the former was just upgraded to the #1 spot. Sheppard was selected by ESPN NBA expert Kevin Pelton as the top prospect in the 2024 NBA Draft.
Sheppard, who was ranked No. 7 in ESPN’s top 100 in April, is now ranked No. 4 in the consensus model, after already leading my stats-only projections. The standout is Sheppard’s predicted 39% 3-point percentage in his debut season. It is expected that no other player in this year’s draft will shoot more than 37%.
