Von Miller’s comeback is something the Buffalo Bills are depending on. The 34-year-old Miller, one of just two defensive ends with a contract for the upcoming campaign, is very important to the cap-strapped Bills because of his availability and potential production. “We’re hoping that he’ll resemble the guy we got him in his first year more closely. “He had eighty-odd sacks in, like, nine or ten games,” NFL Combine speaker Brandon Beane of the Bills stated.

In 2022, the Bills signed Miller in an effort to add a game-changing player to a roster that was primed for the Super Bowl. The talented edge rusher made 11 starts and finished with 8.0 sacks and two pass deflections before tearing his ACL against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day, which ended his season.

This past season, Miller made his way back into the game in Week 5, however he clearly struggled to have an effect in his short playing time. In his 14 appearances, including two postseason games, he did not record a sack. “Since the season concluded, I have communicated with Von. We sat Von down for one game in the last three weeks, and I would argue that Miami, Pittsburgh, and Kansas City showed glimpses of it,” Beane stated. “It’s just more of it now, in my opinion, and getting him into a groove. It’s the delicate balance of, say, a shooter needing to fire off how many shots to start? Von is a shooter from there; he rushes things. What therefore does he require to make a lather?

Marking his 35th birthday on March 26th, Miller has amassed 123.5 sacks since the Denver Broncos selected him with the second overall pick in the 2011 draft. During the Bills’ bye week in November of last year, the MVP of Super Bowl 50 had some legal issues at home in Texas. He eventually turned himself in to local authorities on a warrant. Miller has refuted all accusations arising from a purported domestic altercation, asserting that he has done nothing wrong.

Giving a status report on the current state of affairs, Beane stated, “We didn’t make any kind of drastic moves at the time because we’re pretty confident in what we know.” “Until we are shown something different, we don’t see anything that would prevent Von from returning. We know what we know.” We anticipate it disappearing.”
