Seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady announced his intentions to become a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders almost one year ago – but the deal could now be in doubt

In his attempt to acquire a stake in the Las Vegas Raiders, Tom Brady is encountering a few obstacles.

According to The Washington Post, it seems improbable that NFL owners will cast a vote on Brady’s candidacy at the next annual meetings. As a result, the former quarterback for the New England Patriots will have to wait a little while longer to fulfill his dream of becoming the owner of another sports organization.

Not too long after he retired after the 2022 season, word leaked out about Brady’s possible connection with the Raiders. Nevertheless, there are stories indicating that the agreement was reached during his time as a player with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, there was a hitch when the NFL implemented a regulation that forbade owners from awarding shares to staff members.

Brady’s close friend, Mark Davis, the owner of the Raiders, is rumored to be offering him 10% of the team. Stakes in teams may become less valuable as a result of this alleged significantly lower transaction than it is worth, which can irritate other owners.

Brady’s prospective ownership has encountered some difficulties. He inked a ten-year contract to work as a sports analyst for Fox, and he will start this season. Though they can visit training camps and speak with players and coaches prior to games, commentators and analysts often have no personal stake in any particular team. It is unlikely that teams would want a rival owner to be present.

As a co-owner of the WNBA basketball franchise Las Vegas Aces, Brady already has a commercial relationship with Davis. Brady purchased a pickleball team before shocking everyone by declaring he would buy a stake in Birmingham City. The NFL icon has been seen at two Blues games since joining the team in August.

Brady has stated multiple times that he would like to acquire a portion of a franchise once he retires from professional football in 2022. He’s currently preparing to join the NFL as an analyst for the forthcoming season.
