When he stated, “He’s a Raider,” general manager of the Raiders Tom Telesco in February hinted that wide receiver Davante Adams would not be traded.

Adams made it apparent on Sunday that the feeling was shared.

Adams told reporters from his football camp, “If I wanted to be gone, I’d be gone by now,” according to The Athletic. “This is where I want to be.”

After acquiring Adams from the Packers in 2022, the Raiders inked a $140 million, five-year contract extension with him. Despite this, trade rumors have persisted throughout the previous two offseasons.

Even while he may not have been quite happy with his last coach, Josh McDaniels, he is a devoted fan of Antonio Pierce. After leading the Raiders to a 5-4 record at the close of the season, Adams advocated in January for Pierce to have the interim tag removed from his title. Adams seems a lot happy now that Pierce has been given a full-time position.

It has already improved the team’s morale. To be able to carry on with our same perspective was what we were all searching for. That’s our guy,” he remarked on Sunday, as The Athletic reported.

During Super Bowl week, Adams also told ESPN’s Paul Gutierrez that he is eager to collaborate with Luke Getsy, the new offensive coordinator for the Raiders. Getsy was an assistant coach for the Packers when Adams first entered the NFL in 2014.

“He’s the type of coach that’s open-minded … he’s going to be open to hearing things from the veteran players that know how this thing works and the best way to do things,” he stated.
