Leeds United custodian Illan Meslier is among the 24 players named by France head coach Sylvain Ripoll in his squad for the 2023 U21 European Championships, which are quickly approaching.
France will play a friendly match against Mexico on Friday, June 16, ahead of the competition, and then depart for Romania.
On Thursday, June 22 in Cluj-Napoca, the Tricolores will play a hard match against Italy to begin their EURO 2023 campaign. They will play group matches against Switzerland on Wednesday, June 28, and Norway on Sunday, June 25.
Meslier made 38 appearances for Leeds United throughout the 2022/23 season, keeping five clean sheets. The French keeper also broke the Premier League record for youngest goalkeeper to reach 100 appearances in the top flight.
