One of the biggest surprises of the summer transfer window is probably Roberto De Zerbi’s imminent departure from Brighton and transfer to Marseille.
The Italian was being considered for some of the largest positions around Europe just a few months ago. The 45-year-old was being linked to Manchester United, Chelsea, and even Barcelona, but it looks he will end up at Stade Velodrome with OM.
The most recent sources state that he is almost certain to sign a three-year contract, with Marseille simply needing to activate Brighton’s release clause, which is estimated to be worth between €5 and €6 million.
