Lamar Jackson led the Baltimore Ravens to a shocking 33-19 victory over the San Francisco 49ers after tossing two touchdown passes in 18 seconds in the third quarter at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

For the 49ers, Kyle Hamilton and the Ravens defense intercepted quarterback Brock Purdy on three of the opening four possessions of the game, turning a 16-12 halftime lead into a dominant 30-12 lead.

Purdy became the first 49ers quarterback since Colin Kaepernick in 2015 to throw four interceptions in a game, finishing 18 for 32 for 255 yards before departing the game with a left shoulder stinger in the fourth quarter and being replaced by Sam Darnold.

After tripping over a fallen official in the end zone and attempting a pass, Jackson took an intentional grounding safety to give the 49ers the game’s first points.

Purdy attempted to push a pass to wideout Deebo Samuel on first-and-10 at the Baltimore 15, but Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton got in front of it for an interception.

After forcing a punt on the first possession of the second half, Jackson completed it with a 6-yard touchdown pass to Nelson Agholor.

After Purdy’s fourth interception, Williams injured his groin while attempting to hit Ravens defender Patrick Queen. Jackson quickly followed that up with a 9-yard touchdown pass to Zay Flowers, making the score 30-12. Jackson passed for 252 yards and ran for another.

Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers set a franchise record with his eighth straight game with at least 100 yards from scrimmage.

Darnold responded for the 49ers with a fourth-quarter score after taking over for an injured Purdy, but it was too late.

Both teams stay atop their respective conferences. The Niners are tied for the top record in the NFC with Philadelphia and Detroit, and with wins in their last two games, they can claim the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye.

The Ravens remained one game ahead of Miami for the best record in the AFC and can claim the top spot with a win over the Dolphins next week.
