GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN — Aaron Rodgers authored two of the best season-ending quarterback stretches in NFL history. Jordan Love isn’t far behind as the Green Bay Packers prepare for their NFC wild-card game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Rodgers declared the struggling team could run the table despite a 4-6 record in 2016. That it did. Rodgers threw 15 touchdown passes and 0 interceptions in a six-game sweep of the Eagles, Texans, Seahawks, Bears, Vikings, and Lions. He completed 71.0 percent of his throws and had the league’s best passer rating of 121.0.

Rodgers threw 27 touchdown passes and two interceptions in his final ten games, which included the game before “run the table,” a loss to Washington, and three playoff games. It was quarterbacking at its finest.

Love comes through as Packers beat Bears 17-9 to clinch a playoff berth

Rodgers threw 20 touchdown passes and one interception in the final eight games of the season in 2021. He made 70.7 percent of his passes and had a passer rating of 117.8. It was quarterbacking as an art form that helped him win his fourth MVP award.

Love’s performance down the stretch in 2023 will give the Packers a shot to upset the Cowboys in the NFC wild card game on Sunday and maybe make a postseason run.

Beginning with the Packers’ 23-20 victory over the Chargers, Love threw 18 touchdown passes and only one interception in his final eight games. He completed 70.3 percent of his passes and had a passer rating of 112.7, enough for third place. Only Love had less than three interceptions among the sixteen quarterbacks who threw at least ten touchdown passes.
