(CNN) — According to various sources, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce has informed his teammates that he would retire from the NFL.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo broke the news Tuesday morning, following the Eagles’ 32-9 playoff loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Kelce, who was obviously distraught after the loss, declined to talk with reporters following the game. CNN Sport has reached out to both the Eagles and Kelce’s agent for comment.
Kelce is a seven-time Pro Bowler and six-time All-Pro pick who is certain to get into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Kelce, 36, played his entire 13-year NFL career for the Eagles, winning Super Bowl LII in February 2018.

“He didn’t get where he is now easily. It’s been a long time coming for him, and every year while I’ve been here, the question has been, ‘Are you going to come back?’
“But he understands how much I adore and appreciate him. He understands how much I have gained from him. He will always hold a particular place in my heart.
