With the Steelers adding more coaches to their staff, coaching news from Pittsburgh continues trickling in.
Tom Arth will coach quarterbacks for the Steelers. Arth, who was interviewed by Pittsburgh yesterday, was the Los Angeles Chargers’ passing game specialist under Brandon Staley the previous season.
This happens right after Zach Azzanni, a former Jets assistant, was named by the Steelers as their new wide receivers coach. In the same capacity, Pittsburgh also welcomed back Mike Sullivan as the quarterbacks coach.
Earlier reports imitially indicated that Arth’s role would be as the Steelers’ pass game coordinator, but both Gerry Dulac and Mike DeFabo have come out and said those reports were inaccurate.
Before accepting the position at Akron from 2019 to 21, Arth was as head coach at John Carroll from 2013 to 2016 and Chattanooga from 2017 to 2018. In 2022, he was named a Chargers pass game specialist.
