Fearn only recently joined Forest in July as a part of a backroom change, but Mail Sport has learned that he is about to leave the City Ground. Fearn, who is well-liked in the industry, played for Chelsea for 13 years before departing in January 2023.

Why Fearn is leaving after only a short time on the job is unknown. After Steve Cooper was fired in December, Nuno Espirito Santo took over as manager. In his first press conference, he stated that Forest needed to improve their injury record.

Nuno stated: “It’s one of the things we have to improve” in a December speech. We can’t let players go.

‘We must count on all of them and we will work together with our experience, especially in fitness situations. The first steps are professionalism, nutrition and sleep. Injuries can happen but some of them are avoidable.’

And ahead of Forest’s game at Bournemouth earlier months, Nuno said Forest had ‘problems, always problems’ with having enough players available.
