In addition to becoming a head coach of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the National Rugby League, Cameron Ciraldo is a former professional rugby league football player. He is credited with leading the Penrith Panthers to consecutive premierships in 2021 and 2022 as their defensive coach.

This summer, the Georgia Bulldogs have lost a number of coaches, and it appears like the list will only get longer. According to sources who spoke with Dawgs Daily, Bulldogs running backs coach Dell McGee is attempting to seal a deal to take over as Georgia State Panthers’ next head coach. The last interview with McGee is scheduled on Thursday morning. This would be McGee’s first position as a collegiate head coach. Although sources claim McGee is a final candidate, nothing is official yet.

McGee was one of the last remaining members of Kirby Smart’s original coaching staff and served as the running backs for the Bulldogs for nine seasons. During his tenure, McGee coached Georgia legends such as Nick Chubb, Sony Michel, D’andre Swift, and James Cook and became well-known for his ability to make connections with players.

Replacing a coach as experienced and as high profile as McGee will be a major challenge for the Bulldogs who have now lost their second offensive position coach in the span of one week. However, the Bulldogs possess tons of talent in the running back room and an elite culture that will be enticing to numerous notable coaches.
