At the Iowa Speedway on Sunday, during Stage 2 of the Iowa Corn 350, there was an early collision that led to a rift between John Hunter Nemechek and Noah Gragson’s crew.

Nemechek had turned Gragson’s car halfway around during the second stage, leaving his team fuming. Even though Gragson was able to stop the spin and straighten out before colliding with anything, the contact cost him multiple spots and raised a caution flag.

What the f*** is wrong with him, I ask you? Drew Blickensderfer, the crew chief of Gragson, spoke over the radio. “Over the past ten years, that guy has been the biggest idiot in racing.”

Noah Gragson’s spotter, Andy Houston, said he had relayed that message to Ryan Blanchard, John Hunter Nemechek’s spotter.

A competitive first stage with a couple cautions ended with Ryan Blaney taking the win over Kyle Larson, who started on the pole on Sunday. The two battled back and forth throughout the first stage before Blaney got the better of Larson and held on for the final few laps.
