Foggia midfielder Antonio Junior Vacca is set to retire at the end of the season and take up a coaching role with Roberto de Zerbi at Brighton and Hove Albion.

This is according to La Goleada, who is quoting Corriere dello Sport’s Puglia edition, which claims the 33-year-old has already begun his journey into coaching at his current location before coming to Brighton.

According to the publication, Vacca is Massimiliano Olivieri’s right-hand man and leads the Foggia team with a “decisive attitude” in addition to serving as the team’s locker room leader.

Since he joined the team last season, he has been doing this, and it is beneficial for all parties—especially him as he prepares to go on to the next phase of his professional career.
He has been a “successful apprentice” in every sense of the word, and it is “no mystery” that he plans to hang up his boots and enter the coaching field at the end of the current campaign.

His next position is really already guaranteed, as he will work with Roberto de Zerbi at Brighton and join his coaching staff.

His experience at Foggia is acting as a “sort of anticipation” for his intended relocation to England and a career evolution that appears to have already begun. Although his function at Brighton is not yet known,

Michael Olise cut off goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen’s effort to pass, and in the 45th minute, he scored Ayew’s assist.

The Dutch goalkeeper’s night wasn’t the best since early in the second half, he appeared like he had enough time to beat Jean-Philippe Mateta to a bouncing ball in the area, but Dunk, the captain, wasn’t too happy with how long it took the 21-year-old to clear the danger.

At halftime, the July acquisition appeared disheartened as he hobbled off the field, but goalkeeper coach Jack Stern hurried over to Verbruggen, put his arm around his shoulder, and seemed to offer some helpful feedback.

Chief coach Roberto De Zerbi supported it when he told Sky Sports at halftime, saying, “It’s not the responsibility of Bart Verbuggen [only] because when the keeper is under pressure he needs his team-mates to play.”

You were able to fully appreciate Adam Lallana’s vocal presence on the field during the lockdown seasons. When the 35-year-old entered the game in the 75th minute, Selhurst Park was still full, and you could hear him giving commands to his teammates.

He once shouted at teammate Igor Julio for failing to clear the ball more quickly when going up against the deadly Olise. Dunk then returned the favor by delivering a dollop of his own ferocity.

The veteran didn’t do much when he entered the game, but it appeared that he raised the team’s tenacity and intensity while also giving them a hard time.
